Elaine DeJesus Background and Experience: Elaine is one of the original members & returns as a sixth year Coach with Get Fit Atlanta. Elaine was inspired to join Get Fit in 2003 to achieve her goal of running a marathon. Elaine has been a runner since her high school years, but slacked off after an injury twelve years ago while training for the Disney Marathon. Since completing three Peachtree Road Races and her first marathon in Chicago, Elaine joined the coaching staff – making a commitment to inspire, motivate and encourage others that they too can complete a half or full marathon.
After completing several races, Elaine’s next challenge was to complete a triathlon. So, in 2007, with only less than 2 months of training, she completed her first triathlon and has since completed numerous triathlons in 2008. This year she will be competing in other Olympic and Half Ironman distance races. And, in November 2009, she will be competing in Ironman Arizona.
